FRANK SANTORE, JR.,
Co-Producer and Play-by-Play

Frank Santore  has broadcast play by play of over 100 Division I football and basketball games on national radio since 2006.  In the 2007-08 season, Santore served as the play-by-play talent for the national radio broadcasts over Sirius Satellite Radio of four Division I men’s basketball tournament championship games for the following Division I Conferences:  Big Sky Conference, Big South Conference, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and Patriot League, more than any other broadcaster in the U.S. that year.

In 2008-09, Santore was the play-by-play voice of the Ohio Valley Conference’s radio game of the week, and, in addition, shared the play-by-play duties for the Southern Conference’s men’s and women’s tournament games that same year. Santore co-produced and did the play-by-play for the Big South Conference’s  mens’ basketball championship for three consecutive years (2006-08) on Sirius Satellite Radio.   During the same period, he co-produced and did the play-by-play for the weekly Patriot League radio game of the week, also on Sirius, as well as performing the same duties for the League’s men’s basketball championship and baseball championship during the same period.  He also co-produced and did the play-by-play for the Southland Conference’s men’s basketball and baseball championships over Sirius during the 2006-07 season.

Santore  previously served as the football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s soccer and baseball play-by-play voice for his alma mater, Davidson College (1995-2000); as the football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball voice of the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs (2001-03), and as the play-by-play voice of women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer and baseball at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro (2003-07).  Santore was also the radio play-by-play voice for 15 consecutive years for the Elizabethton Twins of the Appalachian League. Contrary to rumors, Santore is not related to the fighter or boxing referee of the same name.
